Shropshire tourist attraction British Ironwork Centre are on a mission to create the World's biggest button sculpture - and they need your help.

In order to smash the current world record, they're are asking the public to help them reach our humongous target of over 1 million buttons.

The current record for the world’s largest 3D button sculpture used approximately 1,163,342 buttons to create a replica of the Sun and planets of the solar system. It was displayed at the People's Museum, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK on 4 January 2000.

In a world that is so divided, they have chosen buttons for their sculpture, as they bring things together to create unity. Buttons are eclectic and random, making them a perfect choice to represent the diversity of humankind.

The latest sculpture will reflect The British Ironwork Centre’s ethos of peace and harmony and they want to create a sense of community by crafting a sculpture with people's generous donations at the heart of it.

They're offering free entry to the sculpture park, in return for any sensible bag of buttons. Please take your donation to the front desk to receive your free entry voucher.
