The lead singer of Embrace, Danny McNamara, will go on an intimate talking tour in the UK next autumn, which stops off at Shropshire's biggest live music and events venue, The Buttermarket on Sunday 13 September 2026.
Danny, who wrote and performed some of the most iconic songs of the Britpop era, will hit the road to mark 30 years of Embrace.
As the founder and lead singer of Embrace, Danny and his band sold more than two million albums to date. Their first album, The Good Will Out, was released in 1998 and became one of the fastest-selling debuts by a British artist. It was certified ‘gold’ on the day of its release and went on to sell more than half a million copies. The band has also had three number one albums and six top 10 singles including Come Back to What You Know and Gravity.
Now Embrace is celebrating its 30th anniversary and Danny will tour the UK for a special evening of tales about one of Britain’s best-loved bands.
With a new book published about the band’s early years, he’ll be telling stories, answering questions, and signing copies of the book.
