Music promoters Live in the House have announced ​the acquisition of the Grade 2 listed Morris Hall in Bellstone, Shrewsbury.

Talking about the new venture, the team said: "We have enjoyed hosting great music and comedy shows in this wonderful town for over 15 years and once we realised there may be an opportunity to acquire this historic building we worked closely with Halls Estate Agents to make it happen.

"We have enjoyed amazing support from our customers over the years, both at Henry Tudor House and more recently, shows at the Abbey, St Mary’s and Morris Hall. But now having our own venue and being able to develop a year-round calendar of live performances, whilst safeguarding and evolving a cultural asset for Shrewsbury is truly a dream come true. We look forward to seeing you there very soon!"

Live in the House is a small dedicated team with a passion for hosting live performances of original music and comedy in stunning spaces. They have hosted more than 500 shows to over 35,000 music and comedy lovers at historic and iconic venues in and around Shropshire.

It began with a sell out show by the Ivor Novello award winning Scott Matthews at the 15C Henry Tudor House in Shrewsbury. Now working with the staff and volunteers of such organisations as the Churches Conservation Trust and being entrusted with such special spaces as St Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury Abbey and Morris Hall, the Live in the House team continue to explore great shows in great places.
