One of the UK’s most iconic and influential psychedelic rock bands, Ozric Tentacles, are set to perform live in Shrewsbury this November.

The legendary band will appear at The Buttermarket on Wednesday 11 November, bringing with them over four decades of groundbreaking psychedelic, progressive rock and electronic music.

Formed at the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983, Ozric Tentacles became a staple of the UK festival scene, earning a devoted worldwide following through unforgettable live performances and critically acclaimed albums including Erpland, Strangeitude and Jurassic Shift, which reached the UK Top 10.

Led by founding member and multi-instrumentalist Ed Wynne, the band remain renowned for their immersive live shows, combining soaring guitar work, hypnotic grooves, electronic textures and psychedelic visuals into a unique musical experience.

The announcement is another major coup for The Buttermarket, which has increasingly become a destination venue for established original artists and touring bands.

Ozric Tentacles continue to tour internationally and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary with the release of their latest album, Lotus Unfolding.
