The New Vic Theatre and Not Too Tame join forces for a bold new reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, starring award-winning comedian Russell Kane and acclaimed stage and television actress Natalie Casey.

In this fresh adaptation, Romeo and Juliet meet not as teenagers, but in their 40s, bringing years of life experience, past relationships and emotional baggage to one of the world’s most famous love stories. Exploring what happens when the intensity of first love collides with the realities of adulthood, the production offers audiences a surprising new perspective on Shakespeare’s classic tale.

Directed by Not Too Tame’s Artistic Director Jimmy Fairhurst, the production also features Andrew Butler, Louise Haggerty, Lizzie Hopley, Patrick Knowles, David Nellist and Ray Sesay.
