Burton upon Trent will light up the festive season like never before with the launch of Canvas of Light - Starlight by Luxmuralis, a brand-new immersive experience transforming two of the towns most iconic heritage buildings for three magical evenings.
From 18 - 20 December, residents and visitors of all ages will be invited to explore spectacular light projections, by award winning light art collective, Luxmuralis in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council.
This free to attend experience will transform St Modwen’s Church and the historic Bass Water Tower with immersive projections, which will be brought together with a trail of light and colour through the recently enhanced Memorial Gardens linking the two landmarks. The installations invite visitors to experience Burton in a completely new way, celebrating the town’s rich heritage with a festive, contemporary spectacle.
Visitors can wander along the illuminated trail, take in the sights and enjoy a festive night market filled with seasonal treats, local stalls and live entertainment. Children will have the chance to meet Santa and his elves in Burton Library, adding a truly memorable moment for families.
Canvas of Light, running from 5pm to 8pm on 18, 19 and 20 December is a ticket free event, and further information will be released in due course.
