Businesses from across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are being invited to swap the boardroom for the padel court as part of a fundraising event supporting disabled and neurodivergent children and young people.

National charity Caudwell Children has teamed up with Ace Padel Stoke to launch the Padel with Purpose Tournament, which will take place on Friday 2 October at the venue’s flagship courts in Cobridge.

The event will bring together teams of two from businesses across the region for a morning of friendly competition, networking opportunities and coaching sessions, while raising funds for the Keele-headquartered charity.

Money raised will help Caudwell Children continue providing practical and emotional support to disabled and neurodivergent children, young people and their families across the UK.

Adding a local touch to the tournament, young people involved in the charity’s Shaping Futures programme will be on hand during the event, showcasing skills developed through sessions delivered in partnership with Ace Padel Stoke.

James Molden, Head of Operational Delivery at Ace Padel, said the event reflects the company’s commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the court.

“Our motto has always been ‘Padel with Purpose’, and this partnership with Caudwell Children brings that to life in the most meaningful way possible,” he said.

“Deeply rooted in Stoke-on-Trent, we’ve always been passionate about making a genuine difference in our community. This isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about showing what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose.”

The tournament runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Friday 2 October. Entry costs £100 per team of two, with businesses of all sizes welcome to take part.
