The fourth Coventry Biennial investigates ‘humankind's complex relationship with the world’ and features the work of 15 artists displayed across five venues.
Included in the programme is an immersive installation by Turkish artist Can Altay which draws inspiration from the rich traditions of public water fountains in Ottoman cities, most notably Istanbul.
Also featuring in the Biennial is a site-responsive installation from A History Of Frogs, Vietnamese American artist Dinh Q Lê’s powerful multi-screen installation The Colony, and local artist Janet Tryner’s installation and sculpture examining the impact of housing developments on rural ecosystems.
