A real force to be reckoned with since performing its first concert over 160 years ago, the Manchester-based Hallé here gets into the festive spirit by presenting an eclectic mix of compositions, including vocal highlights from Handel, Mozart, Mel Torme and Les Miserables.
A sackful of seasonal orchestral showpieces also features, as does music from the movies (Home Alone and Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory)...
Hallé Associate Conductor Stephen Bell leads from the front, with versatile baritone Rodney Earl Clarke (pictured) also contributing.
