The Belfry Hotel & Resort, winners of The Cateys Best Hotel Award 2026, has launched a range of holiday packages designed to give every family their dream summer break. From bodyboarding, climbing and running wild in the Woodland Adventures playground to chilling out in the movie room and picking a favourite among different restaurants, this is a resort kids (and parents) will never tire of.

Making waves this summer

New for summer 2026 is WaveSurfer, an outdoor bodyboarding simulator suitable for adults and children alike, now open for bookings. It sits within the Belfry Beach, complete with activities such as inflatable axe throwing, nerf guns and football darts. Beach access and activities is available from £5 per person.

WaveSurfer opens on Friday 24 July and runs every day until 6 September, from 10am to 8pm. Sessions are bodyboarding only, with a minimum age of six and a minimum height of 1.1m, and tickets start from £30 per hour-long session.

Stay longer, spend less

Parents can switch to holiday mode with the new extended stay package, swapping the stress of flying with young children for quality time together instead. The offer gives guests three nights for the price of two, with rooms starting from £499 for the stay.

There's no chance of the kids getting bored either, with a huge array of activities available, including:

• Pedal go-karting
• An indoor pool with flume and sprinklers
• The Woodland Adventures playground, with climbing frames, a zip wire, swings, slides, a treehouse and balance obstacles
• The Belfry Trail, a family treasure hunt around the resort, complete with a prize and certificate on completion
• Sports activities on The Green
• Space hoppers and diggers in the sand bunkers

For quieter moments, there's a movie room with bean bags and popcorn; an indoor Kids Zone with a colouring station, books, crafts and a reading corner; family shuffleboard and darts in Sam's Bar & Kitchen; and a dedicated family games room.

To celebrate the charm of a classic British break, The Belfry Hotel & Resort offers complimentary postcards, encouraging guests to write home about their experience, which they can then post for free in the resort’s working post box.

For families drawn to The Belfry's golfing heritage, the new Family Golf Holiday package offers an overnight stay in a family room, dinner and breakfast at the award-winning Ryder Restaurant, 18 holes on the newly-revamped Derby course, a round on the Ryder Legends Mini Golf (inspired by famous Ryder Cup holes), and time on the TopTracer driving range - all from £369 per stay.
