This Easter, Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry, presents Oscar nominated animation and an exciting and star-packed adaptation of an enduring children's favourite in the cinema, plus Pippa Goodhart and Nick Sharratt's unpredictable You Choose as well as songs, dance, and free activities.

Family Film: Arco (PG) (Friday 27 March - Thursday 2 April)

Nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 2026 Oscars, Arco is a dazzling, Ghibli-esque science fiction fantasy.

In 2075, 10-year-old Iris sees a boy in a rainbow suit fall from the sky: Arco. As Arco and Iris develop a touching friendship, they band together on a quest to return Arco home, finding out along the way that they may be the only ones who can save the planet. Featuring the voices of Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Will Ferrell and America Ferrera.

Ascension Dance: Early Weaves (Sunday 29 March)

A wonderful, non-verbal introduction to dance theatre for early years children. A heart-warming tale of friendship, curiosity and play.

Two friends embark on a journey of connection and companionship using fabulously flexible willow. Together they use this versatile material to dive deep into their sense of imagination. Exploring sound and movement, creating magic and laughter, they invite the audience in to play.

Family Film: The Magic Faraway Tree (U) (From Friday 3 April)

Based on the beloved Faraway Tree stories, a modern family is forced to relocate to the remote countryside. Once there, the children, with no Wi-Fi or electricity to charge their treasured electronic gadgets, set out to explore the natural world around them where they discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents. Written by Simon Farnaby (Paddington, Wonka, Horrible Histories) and with a cast that includes Claire Foy (The Crown), Andrew Gardfield (Spider-Man) and Jessica Gunning (The Outlaws) plus Lenny Henry, Michael Palin and Jennifer Saunders.

You Choose (Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 April)

In You Choose, every performance is unique!

Based on the brilliant book by Pippa Goodhart and Nick Sharratt, Nonsense Room Productions (Shark In The Park, Hairy Maclary) bring you an interactive musical show for all the family, where YOU CHOOSE what happens!

Using the well-known picture book as inspiration, and through a series of games and challenges, each show is totally unique - with different characters, locations, costumes and much more every time.

Musical Picnics (Sunday 12 April - FREE)

Musical Picnics are warm, welcoming, eclectic and diverse musical performances for children, parents and families, featuring an outstanding and eclectic programme of artists, educators, musicians, instruments, styles, approaches, cultures and personalities from across the country. FREE for all. No need to book, just drop in from 11am - 12:30pm.

National Youth Choir: Paper Boats (Sunday 12 April)

National Youth Choir (9-15 Years) return to Warwick Arts Centre for a characteristically showstopping performance, alongside paper artist Coco Sato.

Paper Boats by Jake Runestad forms the musical centrepiece of the performance, along with music written by Jim Papoulis, Sarah Quartel, Stephen Sondheim and Sara Bareilles.  

During the performance, see Coco’s paper creations come to life while she folds live on stage - and you’ll even get to make your own paper boat before the show.

University of Warwick Sculpture Park (All year around - FREE)

Discover sculptures big and small by major international artists across the university campus, situated in gardens, woodland, meadows and fields. Freely accessible, the Sculpture Park features over 20 artworks including two giant steel dinosaurs by Jake and Dinos Chapman. A series of free trail maps is available from Warwick Arts Centre or downloadable from the arts centre website.
