Pathways to the Past, a local history project led by Rewind, the multimedia history publication based at the University of Warwick, has brought together over fifty students to explore and document the rich heritage of Warwickshire.

Launched in 2025, the project connected students with the history that surrounds them.

The project culminated in two major outputs: Rewind’s first-ever print edition and a documentary film exploring Warwickshire’s rich history. From the splendour of St Mary’s Guildhall to the iconic castles of Warwick and Kenilworth, Pathways to the Past brings local history to life in print and on screen.

To mark the project, Warwickshire Local History Society (WLHS) will host an online event on
Saturday 28 February at 3pm, featuring Pathways to the Past co-producers Jakob Reid and Harry
McNeile.

The event is free to attend and open to both members and non-members. A link to the online talk will be sent in advance to all WLHS members. Non-members can request the Zoom meeting link by emailing info@warwickshirehistory.org.uk.
