Lord of the Dance is back at the Regent Theatre to celebrate its 30th year and what an incredible dance sensation it is.

Micheal Flatley’s production has not only stood the test of time, it has also prospered and constantly reinvigorated itself to remain as exciting and engaging today as it was over three decades ago.

The new tour pays homage to Flatley with superb audio-visual elements throughout that showcase his mastery of the art of dance. His vision for re-interpreting Irish dancing has resulted in a global brand that repeatedly garners top reviews.

Lord of the Dance is not just Irish dancing. It is a production that weaves Celtic legend, ethereal spirits,  beautiful song and spine-tingling musical brilliance with a mesmeric narrative. It is a tour de force on stage - and a very special theatrical experience.

The interplay between the Lord and the Dark Lord is simply brilliant with 'the battle' having a post-apocalyptic nuance and the pace of the dance making both performances simply spell binding.
The ensemble dancers are incredible throughout, moving seamlessly as they change sequences with such exuberance and confidence. The beautiful singing and awesome fiddle playing is truly something that must be heard to be believed. The love elements are also a dream to watch as the exquisite Saoirse and her counterpart Morrighan command the stage with their sublime presence. The duo represent the light and dark - the good and the evil, alongside the magical element of Little Spirit who ensures beauty ensues in the end.

The technical expertise of the Lord of the Dance is outstanding. The choreography is phenomenal. The staging, costume and cinematic elements are awe-inspiring. This is a powerhouse of a show and a masterpiece of theatrical expertise.

Lord of the Dance is simply and utterly fabulous and one not to miss.
