Stratford Literary Festival has announced a special one-off evening with Hairy Biker Si King as he discusses his first solo title, Proper Home Cooking.

One half of the multi-million selling and much-loved cookery duo The Hairy Bikers with the late Dave Myers, King will share the food he cooks and eats at home: honest, unfussy dishes built for real life, real budgets and real families. He will talk about the experience of writing his first solo work after two decades as part of one of Britain’s best loved food partnerships.

Si still carries the torch for this highly-acclaimed, globe-trotting pair who hosted over 30 television series and have sold over six million copies of their books.  He’ll be talking about life with and without his biking partner, their world travels to collect ingredients, ideas and inspiration and how he’s become a champion of men in particular speaking out about both physical and mental health without shame.

He will be in conversation with Olivia Chapman.
