Prepare to escape the everyday and explore the impossible with the most must-see virtual reality venue to hit the Midlands.

The Park VR opened in Birmingham last year with a mission to bring the future of entertainment to everyone, providing a location-based VR immersive experience like no other.

Since its UK debut, The Park have been joined by a host of local celebrity and influencer guests at both venues. Familiar faces, including the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and Olympic gymnast and Dancing on Ice winner Nile Wilson, were the first to try out the experience - describing it as a ‘speechless experience’! The Park also has added local flavour to experiences as Birmingham’s own David Whitely hosts the award-nominated VR Escape Room, ‘Don’t Scream’.

First launching in Belgium in 2018, The Park VR already has 12 locations across Europe before hitting Birmingham at Brindleyplace. This enviable canal-side location hails as Birmingham’s number one business, leisure, and tourist destination, filled to brim with restaurants, cafes, and family attractions – what could be a more suitable home for the newest, futuristic, hyper reality extravaganza? VR is growing in popularity and as we enter the age of the metaverse, our real and virtual realities are blending more than ever.

Ditching the heavy backpacks and cables, this hyper realistic free-roam adventure is fully mobile and has state of the art HTC VIVE Focus 3 VR goggles. With an exciting host of worlds to choose from, the games are designed to offer an emotive group experience that borders both the digital world and the physical one - giving the unique opportunity to discover virtual reality as it’s never been experienced before!

With this VR experience, you place your VR goggles on, controller or weapon in hand, no cables attached, and the adventure begins! There are several competitive experiences to choose from. Explore over 150m2 of free-roam virtual reality and complete a challenging mission. Harness your inner space-marine and find the Energy Crystal on Planet X, fight Zombies in The Hallow, or solve puzzles and catch the criminals in The Break-In. Plus, try out ‘Don’t Scream’: Guided by your host, Birmingham born and bred comedian David Whitely, explore several increasingly scary situations where you and the team must solve a host of creepy puzzles with one goal…Don’t scream!

Whichever one you and your crew opt for, you can expect to be transported into a whole new world. We're talking experiences so immersive that your fight or flight instinct kicks in. But don't worry — in-game communication is a key part of the fun. You play together in a group and walk free in an open space. You can also see your fellow players moving next to you, and you can talk and interact with them during the game. Your fellow players will be with you every step of the way. Unless, of course, they are playing against you...

Looking for a more action-packed alternative to after-work drinks or fancy yourself as a bit of an adrenaline junkie? Then you need to get yourself down to The Park: a virtual reality arcade of theme park proportions in Birmingham that's all about making immersive gaming more accessible. Build memories together and spread the word to others. To top off all the fun, why not stick around grab a drink at the venue and discuss tactics for your next mission together.
