Looking for an action packed family day out? Twycross Zoo are celebrating 60 years of amazing animals, courageous conservation and fantastic family fun!

Come close to hundreds of animals from some of the most endangered species, Twycross Zoo is famous for its world renowned primate collect and is the only zoo in the UK that you can see all 4 great apes – gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees and bonobos. They are home to the most critically endangered big bat on earth, the Amur leopard and the magnificent snow leopard as well as other incredible species such as giraffes, zebras, penguins and meerkats plus giant tortoises and SO much more!

Slither into the deep dark woods of The Gruffalo Discovery Land and meet some of the much loved characters from the bestselling children’s book The Gruffalo written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, you’ll be introduced to real-life owls, snakes, butterflies and more. With animatronics, film-clips, touch and feel activities as well as live performances and the chance to meet The Gruffalo himself, the land aims to spark the imagination of the next generation, engaging them with the wonders of nature.

Let your little ones run free in the many outdoor play areas, including the Wet ‘n’ Wild water play area and swing into the 3 storey soft play jungle, so you can easily spend a whole day here and enjoy meeting some amazing creatures.
