John Smith’s early career saw him opening for the legendary John Martyn, since which time he’s played with plenty of other major industry names, including Joan Baez, Sarah Jarosz, the Milk Carton Kids, Patty Griffin, Jackson Browne and Richard Hawley. 
With 20 years at the forefront of British folk guitar music now under his belt, he’s visiting Wolverhampton in support of brand-new album Gatherings, released just four days prior to the gig.
