Opening Spring 2026, Resorts World Birmingham have announced a brand-new partnership with Birmingham based restaurant chain, The Indian Streatery.

Coming to the lower ground floor of the centre between Pizza Express and Nando’s with their new flagship restaurant, is a food-offering like no other. The Indian Streatery, the family led kitchen that combines Indian classics, with a funky street-food flair that can’t be found anywhere else in the city.

Following eight years of success on one of Birmingham’s bustling streets, Bennett’s Hill, as well as their successful stint at the Bullring, the family operated eatery is now spreading their wings a little further afield, opening their third brick and mortar site at Resorts World Birmingham, making the venue the only Indian food venue on site.

The Indian Streatery was founded in 2012 by Meena Sharma - a home cook who noticed a distinct lack of South Asian food available at food markets. With the support of her family, she created a menu that honours authentic South Asian cuisine while serving it with a modern, street-food energy that's become her signature.

The road to success wasn't straightforward. When the idea was still just a spark, Meena’s then corporate boss told her "never make it"- that opening her own food spot was a "waste of time". She made a promise to herself and her family: prove them wrong, and now, the third opening of The Indian Streatery is the latest chapter in making good on that promise.

Built on community from the very beginning, The Indian Streatery runs a female-only kitchen - giving South Asian women from across the city not just a place to work, but a stage for their expert cooking skills. All of their ales are brewed on Birmingham soil by local brewers, the Birmingham Brewing Company, and to mark the new opening, the Streatery will be hosting a charity night on launch day.

With the newest food spot coming to Resorts World Birmingham for Spring 2026, there’s no other place to  visit for some grub this summer than The Indian Streatery.
