A brand new show created and performed by the Hippodrome's young performers (aged 12 to 16 years), and written by local playwright and reality TV junkie, Will Jackson.
The year is 2075 and due to challenges in the arts and culture sector, every art form must compete to stay alive. Now, only two remain in a glorious fight for survival: Theatre and Musical Theatre.
Inspired by the performer’s ideas, interests and creativity, the youth theatre artists and Will have joined forces to turn the theatre's youth theatre’s wildest dreams into reality to devise a 'bold, bonkers, theatrical spectacular.'
In this epic smackdown, the two art forms will battle for your entertainment and the future of their craft. Expect evil robots, Shakespearean meltdowns, and killer showtunes from hit musicals - including Wicked, Les Mis, SIX!, Waitress, and Mamma Mia!.
The team describe this as The Traitors meets Britain’s Got Talent, with superheroes, jazz hands and a Bridgerton-style football drama.
