Shrewsbury Arts Trail: Inspirational Exhibition

An exhibition showcasing art and sculpture by internationally recognised artists as part of Shrewsbury Arts Trail 2026.

This year's showcase is curated around Wynford Dewhurst's impressionist painting, An Ancient Stronghold in France - on loan from Bradford Museums & Galleries. The exhibition also features a specially commissioned large-scale contemporary response by artist Ian Rayer-Smith.

The Shrewsbury Arts Trail at the museum also includes the Open Exhibition, showcasing work by local and regional artists of all backgrounds.

Now in its sixth year, Shrewsbury Arts Trail continues its mission to bring unique and high-quality art to the town to be enjoyed by the public for free through a series of exhibitions and events at multiple venues across the town. The Arts Trail celebrates the town's vibrant arts community and boosts the reputation of the county as an exciting and welcoming cultural destination.
