There’s a new chapter unfolding at one of Broseley’s much-loved pubs, as The Pipe Makers Arms unveils its newly refurbished interior and embraces an exciting new future as an independent free house.

Formerly known as The Albion, the pub has undergone a transformation, bringing together its rich local heritage with a fresh, welcoming atmosphere designed to make it a place for everyone. The refurbishment has been carefully considered to celebrate the character of the building and its connection to Broseley’s fascinating pipe-making history, while creating a comfortable and relaxed space for locals and visitors alike.

The change to a free house marks an especially exciting step forward. No longer tied to a single brewery, The Pipe Makers Arms can now offer a hand-picked selection of beers, ales, spirits and other drinks, giving the team the freedom to bring something a little different to the town. From locally sourced products and independent producers to carefully selected favourites, the emphasis is on quality, variety and supporting the wonderful businesses and makers in the surrounding area.

The pub’s new look combines traditional pub charm with thoughtful design details, creating a series of inviting spaces in which to meet friends, enjoy a quiet drink or settle in for a relaxed afternoon. There is a renewed focus on making the pub a genuine community hub, somewhere to enjoy good conversation, good company and a warm welcome.

Food and drink will also celebrate the best of the region, with sharing boards featuring quality local produce, including meats from Shropshire Salumi, alongside a growing selection of treats and refreshments.

The people behind the pub are keen to see it become an important part of Broseley’s thriving independent high street, complementing the town’s existing pubs, cafés and businesses while offering something a little different.

The Pipe Makers Arms is open Wednesday to Sunday, welcoming guests from 9am for coffee, tea, cakes and pastries, as well as a selection of drinks throughout the day.
