Is it really possible that Nik Kershaw has clocked up almost 70 years on Planet Earth? It seems like only yesterday that the boy from Bristol was a fresh-faced teen idol, sharing airtime and chart space with the likes of Duran Duran, Wham! and Haircut 100. A one-time funk guitarist, Nik spent a record-breaking 50 weeks in the charts in his golden year of 1984, and played his part in Live Aid the following year, too. 
Oh, and he also wrote the Chesney Hawkes chart-topper The One And Only, just for good measure.
