A runner-up in the 2022 Top 10 Jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe competition - “Did you know, if you get pregnant in the Amazon, it’s next-day delivery” - Mark Simmons went one better two years later, emerging from the summertime get-together in the Scottish capital with the Funniest Joke award: “I was going to sail around the globe in the world’s smallest ship, but I bottled it.”
