A concert of music inspired by works of Shakespeare
An imgainative concert that lets you step into the fantasy world of Mendelssohn's incidental music to A Midsummer Nights Dream and experience the power and passion with dances from Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet along with Shearing's Songs and Sonnets taken from Shakespeare's texts.
Spires Music comprises the Spires Philharmonic Orchestra and the Spires Philharmonic Chorus. It was founded in 2005 by Colin Touchin, formerly Director of Music at University of Warwick, as a means of fulfilling a desire to create the opportunity for professional and advanced non-professional musicians to work together to provide high quality choral and orchestral performances.
Sounds and Sweet Airs is the 2026 Spring Concert from Spires Music.
