An immersive sound and light experience from Orchestra of the Swan.
Inspired by the writings and visions of the 12th-century mystic, composer and visionary Hildegard of Bingen, Celestial Revelations draws on her idea of viriditas – the greening, life-giving force that flows through humanity, nature and the divine. Music, light and projected imagery evolve organically throughout the church, creating an immersive environment that is constantly shifting and responding around the audience.
As part of the project funded by the Arts Council, participants will be invited to record their reflections. These responses form an important part of the project’s continuing exploration of how immersive artistic experiences can influence wellbeing, human connection and our relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
