A concert that is both a celebration and a snapshot...

Like the iconic Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, this evening brings together the many faces, voices and influences that have defined the Swan’s journey - players, composers, collaborators and musical worlds, all co-existing in one richly imagined soundscape.

The Swan is driven by curiosity and a belief that music thrives when boundaries are fluid. This anniversary programme reflects that ethos: Bach and Vivaldi sit comfortably alongside Radiohead and Sandy Denny; Vaughan Williams and Grieg converse with Miles Davis, the Velvet Underground and Peter Gabriel. The thread that binds it all together is not genre, but atmosphere, storytelling and a shared emotional directness.
