Resonate Festival is back for 2024, promising a year-round programme of inspiring and interactive events for all ages - all of which aim to spark ideas, curiosity and creativity.

The Resonate programme was originally designed by the University of Warwick to celebrate Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture. After a successful first year, Warwick’s Institute of Engagement has continued to bring to life the work of Warwick staff and students in an accessible, fun, and engaging way.

Here's a taster of what's coming up in the next few months...

Behind The Scenes with Science Technicians - The Tin Music & Arts, Coventry - Thurs 7 March

Lab technicians spend most of their days in the lab, supporting, enabling and making incredible scientific discoveries. At this event, you'll hear from technicians themselves to find out what they get up to and what they’ve uncovered. The day's programme features Lights, Camera, Action? Measuring Materials Reactions with Dr Jack Woolley; Making the Invisible, Visible with Dr Saskia Bakker & Engineering Under the Microscope with Tom Moore.

Science on the Hill - Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building, UOW - Tues 12 March

The Biology of Communication is the theme for this event organised by the School of Life Sciences,  Warwick Medical School and Resonate.

Just as effective communication is the key in human interactions, all biological cells have various ways to communicate with each other - bringing harmony to their social and multicellular lifestyle. This event will explore the fascinating world of cell-cell communication through metabolic exchange and bioelectrical signalling in a range of biological systems - from bacteria, plants to neurons.

The Family Challenge - The Faculty of Arts Building, UOW - Sun 24 March

Join forces with your family to tackle exciting missions, earn points, and win cool prizes! Plus, discover the joy of art as you play together. Get ready for boundless fun and memorable moments with your loved ones! This event welcomes all types of family.

Sessions take place from 9.30am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4pm. Each will include challenges to craft your ideal home; create dialogue without words & author a song.

Tickets are free but registration is required. You need to sign up as a team of at least one adult and one child (aged 6+).

The Big Read - Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry - Sat 6 April

A collaboration with Warwick Arts Centre & Kenilworth Books, this celebration of reading, writing and storytelling features FREE workshops, read-alongs and interactive activities.
