West End hit Heathers, a new production of Little Shop Of Horrors, a stage adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful and a 25th-anniversary performance by the award-winning Ballet Black feature among the highlights of Coventry Belgrade Theatre’s 2026 programme of entertainment.
The line-up of shows also includes a festive-season pantomime production of Beauty And The Beast (Wednesday 18 November - Saturday 2 January), written by and starring Belgrade panto veteran Iain Lauchlan.
In Heathers, Westerberg High’s Veronica Sawyer is just another nobody dreaming of a better day. But when she joins the beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers and her dreams of popularity may finally come true, mysterious teen rebel JD teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it is murder being a somebody...
Packed with iconic songs, larger-than-life characters and a carnivorous plant with a mind of its own, a brand-new production of cult classic Little Shop of Horrors promises big laughs, big tunes and exquisite stagecraft.
Award-winning children's novel Private Peaceful was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, and is acknowledged by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse, The Butterfly Lion) as his favourite work. This thrilling new ensemble retelling by Simon Reade is directed by Elle While, and explores the lengths a young soldier will go to, to fight for what is right.
Cassa Pancho’s Ballet Black celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a much-anticipated return to Belgrade Theatre, in a landmark double bill featuring Ingoma (2019) - the choreographic debut of former Company dancer Mthuthuzeli November - and a joyful new commission from Alvin Ailey royalty Hope Boykin.
