The Great British Food Festival arrives at the magnificent grounds of Compton Verney, on 4 & 5 July with a jam-packed line-up of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

Chef demonstrations and talks, street food vendors and live music alongside kids’ cooking classes, foraging talks and paint and sip masterclasses ensure it’s a great day out.

With entertainment throughout the day on the different stages, there’s plenty to see and do with friends and family including perusing the Artisan Market - a great way to discover new producers. Pick up a fresh coffee from Average Joe coffee as you visit the stalls with a great selection of cheeses and gourmet Scotch eggs from Chickie’s Gourmet Eggs.

Grab some delicious street food from traders including Bombay Delicatessen who will be serving up treats such as Samosa Chaat or enjoy an ice cream and sit and watch live music performed throughout the weekend from artists including Limelight Duo and Rock Choir.

A range of masterclasses can be booked for visitors to experience a new activity or revisit a passion. Paint and Sip led by illustrator Izzy Johnston takes you into acrylic painting. Izzy will provide all the materials and guide you through painting a selection of vegetables, offering tips and techniques to bring your painting to life. One you can take home and hang on your kitchen wall at the end.

Joining the roster of chefs this year are two former Masterchef contestants from different series. Sam Kaeokon reached the final and semi-finalist Olayemi Adelekan, known as Yemi will both be cooking up a storm on the Headline stage.

Overseeing the whole event will be host Chris Bavin. Chris is a cookbook author and has worked in the fresh produce industry for many years founding The Naked Grocer, one of the first no plastic retail businesses. He will be familiar to visitors as he has spent many years presenting a variety of tv programmes including BBC’s Eat Well for Less and Best Home Cook. He will have a presence throughout the festival introducing many of the events and speakers as well as getting stuck in himself.

What's On are offering you the chance to win a family ticket (2 adults and up to 4 children) to The Great British Food Festival at Compton Verney on either 4th or 5th July.

Competition closes Monday 22 June.
