On Identity, Power, and Change
Join Baroness Lola Young for a compelling session on identity, justice, and cultural change. Drawing on lived experience and public leadership, she explores how personal stories can challenge systems - and how we can all shape a fairer future.
Baroness Lola Young brings a powerful lens to questions of identity, justice, and cultural transformation. Drawing on her journey from the arts to activism and public leadership, she explores how personal experience intersects with systemic change. This session invites participants to reflect on whose stories are heard, how power operates in society, and what it means to build a more inclusive future. With honesty, insight, and urgency, Baroness Young challenges us to move beyond tokenism and towards meaningful action - whether in policy, education, or everyday life.
Baroness Young is in conversation with Nando Sigona, Professor of International Migration and Forced Displacement, and Director, Institute for Research into Superdiversity, University of Birmingham.
