To celebrate the Severn Valley Railway’s 60th anniversary, we’re heading back to the 1960s!

What to expect at the Swinging Sixties weekend: with live music up and down the line, fairground attractions at The Engine House, real ale festival at Kidderminster and classic cars from yesteryear, dress to impress for the ‘swinging sixties’. Steam and diesel trains will be operating along the line, representing the ‘changeover years’ on Britain’s railways.

  • Steam and diesel trains hauling our historic carriages.
  • Ferris Wheel and fairground games at The Engine House.
  • Live music at Kidderminster, The Engine House and Bridgnorth.
  • Classic cars on display at Kidderminster, The Engine House and Bridgnorth.
  • Real ale festival at Kidderminster.
