Emaline Delapaix is a singer-songwriter-musician who creates ethereal and haunting chamber folk, and gentle art pop songs on acoustic guitar, piano, celtic harp, and other bowed instruments. She also plays a handful of Nordic and Western European traditional songs exploring her ancestry. She is a self-taught singer who found her own voice and a way to deal with her emotions while growing up in a violent home, dealing with teenage homelessness and trauma, listening to many ground-breaking female artists music, including Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Nina Simone, Heather Nova, Julee Cruise and Bjørk. Emaline’s clear and haunting voice spans several octaves, switching between gentle lullabies and siren songs with ease and authenticity, often moving audience members to tears (in a good way!)
