As the festive season is right around the corner, so are many festive events, including local Christmas lights switch ons. Here are those that are taking place in the region this year.


Saturday 15 November

Kidderminster - 3pm-9pm

Enjoy live music headlined by East 17, who will be on stage at 6pm, performing their 90s hits along with their unlikely Christmas classic.

Entertainment throughout the day includes, street performers, circus skills, craft stalls, face painting, live bands and walkabout acts.


Friday 21 November

Stourport - from 6pm

Stourport Town Council will be bringing their Three Kings Parade and lights switch on this year to the town.


Saturday 22 November 

Great Malvern - from 10am, lights switch on 5.30pm

Enjoy the winter wonderland-themed day in Great Malvern with live entertainment across the town, local trader market at Belle Vue Terrace and in the library, workshops plus our regular visit from Father Christmas in his grotto at Great Malvern Library.

Pantomime celebrities will be switching on the Christmas lights from Belle Vue Island following the parade up Church Street.


Saturday 29 November

Bewdley - from 1pm, lights switch on 5.30pm

A festive afternoon of music, markets, funfair rides and family entertainment.

Redditch - from 3pm

From 3pm onwards, the town centre will come alive with a sparkling line-up of performers, family entertainment, festive stalls, and a visit from the man himself, Father Christmas.

Acts on the main stage include Gareth Gates, Carrie Fern as Taylor Swift, Mitch Loveridge, Top Box Academy, Indigo Arts, and Shaun Paul Smith Dance Academy, The BIG Sing and The Redditch Pantomime Cast.


Thursday 4 December 

Worcester - from 5.30pm, lights switch on 7.15pm

The Mayor of Worcester will officially open the city's Victorian Fayre, with celebrations in Cornmarket Square with carols and a speech by the Mayor, followed by the switching on of the Christmas tree lights in Cathedral Square.
