A spooky trail is all set to arrive in Tenbury Wells and Upton on Severn town centres as part of half term Halloween celebrations.

The free trails, hosted by the towns Tourist Information Centres, in partnership with Malvern Hills District Council, will be taking place in Tenbury and Upton, from Saturday 25 October to Saturday 1 November, excluding Sundays.

Spooky Halloween characters will be hiding around shop windows in the towns, where children will be able to find them by following their trail sheets and discovering a Halloween phrase to win a prize.

All the shops with spooky characters in their windows will also have a stash of Halloween stickers to collect and decorate the trail sheet.

Trail sheets can be collected from Tenbury and Upton Tourist Information Centres (TIC) from 10am on Saturday, 25 October, completed answer sheets can then be returned to the TIC to collect a prize.

Throughout October, children from local primary schools have taken part in a Halloween mask colouring and decorating competition, families are encouraged to look out for their frightfully fun creations on display in shop windows in both town centres throughout half term week.

Cllr Beverley Nielsen, Portfolio Holder for Economy and Tourism at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "It's great to see this fun Halloween activity return and a fabulous chance for families to enjoy these spooky trails. It is also a lovely opportunity to have a look around and explore all that these towns have to offer."
