UK's largest sport-themed event Festival of Sport comes to the Midlands

The UK’s largest sports-focused weekend festival takes place from 1-4 August at Packington Estate, Warwickshire, and promises fun and games for all the family – with a whole host of sporting legends.

Tackle rugby pros Ben Youngs, Alex Goode, Sydney Gregson or Rachael Burford on the rugby pitch, or spar with British boxing champion Rachael McKenzie. Derek Redmond will be putting would-be athletes to the test, while hockey’s ‘golden girls’ Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh will be passing on their top tips for winning play.

Saturday and Sunday are packed with a full A-Z of sports in 12 timetabled sessions for every child aged 5 – 17, from athletics to Zumba via rugby, hockey, rowing, skateboarding and more, all included in the price. When the sports sessions have finished for the day, it’s time to party with live bands, DJs, open-air cinema and circus performers, as well as a range of eating and drinking options in the Food Village.

This year also sees a stronger Wellness Zone, including pop-up sauna, yoga, pilates and talks from experts like ice bath coach and anxiety specialist Anna Gough and actress, singer and life coach Suzanne Shaw.

Weekend tickets cost £295 for one adult + one child aged 5 – 17 years, and include 12 sports sessions per child, access to dozens of additional turn-up-and-play activities, plus entertainment on all three nights.  Accommodation options for the three nights start at £120 for a tent pitch. Pre-pitched bell tents start at £410. Day tickets for Saturday and Sunday are priced at £175 per day for one adult + one child aged 5-17 years old. Under 5s go free. Book at festivalofsportuk.com
