Worcester Theatres hosted a volunteer tea party at the Swan Theatre on Tuesday 26 May 2026, with Chairman Jon Fraser personally thanking theatre volunteers for their ongoing support and commitment to the charity.
Bringing together volunteer stewards and bar staff from the Swan Theatre and Huntingdon Hall, the event celebrated the people who help create a warm and welcoming experience for audiences throughout the year. The tea party welcomed volunteers from all walks of life, from newcomers who had joined the team only a month earlier to long-standing members with decades of experience, united by their shared love of the arts and theatre.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Jon Fraser thanked volunteers for the time, enthusiasm, and commitment they continue to give to Worcester Theatres all year round.
Worcester Theatres is inviting local people with a passion for the arts to join its dedicated team of volunteer stewards and bar staff supporting Front of House operations at the Swan Theatre and Huntingdon Hall. Volunteers play an important role in helping patrons enjoy a welcoming and safe theatre experience, assisting with stewarding performances and serving on the venue bars during a wide range of events including theatre, live music, comedy, and dance performances.
The charity is keen to hear from anyone looking to spend their spare time supporting the local arts, whether they can offer a few hours occasionally or become more regularly involved as part of the volunteer team. In return for their support, volunteers have the opportunity to enjoy performances at Worcester Theatres’ venues free of charge while contributing to the continued success of arts and entertainment in Worcester.
If you’re interested in volunteering at the Swan Theatre or Huntingdon Hall, please contact Sarah Czyrko, Operations, Outreach & Participation Manager at Worcester Theatres on sarah@worcestertheatres.co.uk or contact the team on 01905 726969.
