If you haven’t yet visited Lichfield Cathedral’s two popular summer attractions, there’s still a few days to catch them before they finish. Artist Tessa Campbell Fraser’s impressive  installation Whales features three sperm-whale sculptures suspended in the cathedral’s nave. The sculptures have been created from materials including recycled ghost netting, silk chiffon and latex, to highlight the impact of plastic pollution and climate change...

Meanwhile, outside the cathedral, early-autumn visitors can check out The Beach. Returning for its fifth year, the free-to-enjoy seaside escape comes complete with sand, buckets, spades and deckchairs.
