Maureen Lipman’s Malvern stop-off, coming as part of her first UK tour in 20 years, finds her taking on the role of title character Allegra - a woman whose irrepressible spirit sees her bursting into song in all manner of situations, and by no means always appropriately... 


“To find a comedy which can turn our current face of gloom into an upturned grin of happiness, is rare,” says Maureen. “Allegra is about a woman who is relentlessly upbeat - in more ways than one. Ibsen it isn’t.”


A new comedy from the Olivier and Tony Award-nominated Peter Quilter, the show features a selection of much-loved musical numbers, including Singin’ In The Rain, Ain’t No Sunshine and Dream A Little Dream Of Me.
