Returning for 2026, Steaming Down the Valley is a scenic 5km and 10km trail race through the heart of the Severn Valley, following woodland paths and scenic riverside trails alongside the iconic Severn Valley Railway.

This is a fully off-road, runnable course on dirt, gravel and grass, with natural undulations and the chance of soft or muddy ground underfoot. For part of the route, runners race in parallel with a steam train — creating a truly unique and unforgettable race-day experience.
