Part of See It First 2025 - new work performed in The Jag
Breeders intertwines the stories of two queer couples in Birmingham decades apart - Tom and Georgie in the 1980s, and Jo and Stevie in the 2020s - as they navigate love, fear, and the complexities of building family.
Set against drag bars, doctor’s offices, and late-night conversations, the play explores the impact and legacy of the AIDS crisis, queer survival, and the messy, beautiful ways we create community.
After the show, stick around to see some of Coventry’s emerging talent with Playing Poetry: Coventry Showcase.
This event takes place in The Jag, the Belgrade's new creative workshop and performance space, located just a few doors along from the main Belgrade building on Corporation Street, in the former basement bar, The Jaguar (hence the name!)
