Set at the height of the Cold War in the late 1900s, America & Russia use the world Chess Championship to prove their supremacy.

The players, one American, one Russian, battle for the world title. While they are pawns to their governments own political games; they both risk losing everything for a woman. A Hungarian Refugee whose turbulent history mirrors both the players and the game.
