A programme of new work, workshops and conversations between artists and audiences.

Once again, the Belgrade will become an artistic hub for the region, because we are passionate about new writing, unearthing new stories and sharing them with people who want to see them.

This year’s See It First programme will include preview performances of Consumed, - a co-production with Paines Plough following the incredible success of My Mother’s Funeral and Strategic Love Play. Audiences will have the opportunity to see this brand-new dark comedy prior to a run at the Edinburgh Festival and a limited UK tour, including a return to the Belgrade in September.

There will also be a series of scratch nights and work-in-progress performances taking place in the Belgrade’s exciting new performance space, The Jag. If you’re a midlands-based creative, you can apply for a chance to preview your work here.
